Function: For lasting longer, treats premature ejaculation (PE) in male patients aged 18 to 64. It is currently the only medication specifically approved for treating PE in many countries.
Duration: The half-life after ingestion is approximately 19 hours. For most people, the lasting effect can persist for about a day.
Usage Method: It is recommended to take approximately 1-2 hours before sexual activity for optimal effect. The recommended dose is 30mg (half a tablet). Dosage can be adjusted based on effectiveness. Do not take more than once daily. The maximum dose is 60mg.

Side Effects: Mild side effects occur in a minority of patients. Contraindications for Poxet
1. Poxet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dapoxetine hydrochloride or any of the excipients.
2. Poxet is contraindicated in patients with significant cardiac conditions [e.g., heart failure (NYHA class II-IV), conduction abnormalities not treated with a permanent pacemaker (second or third degree AV block or sick sinus syndrome), significant ischemic heart disease, and valvular disease].
3. Poxet must not be used concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), nor within 14 days following discontinuation of MAOI treatment. Similarly, MAOIs must not be administered within 7 days after discontinuing Poxet (see Drug Interactions).
4. Poxet must not be used concomitantly with thioridazine, nor within 14 days following discontinuation of thioridazine treatment. Similarly, thioridazine must not be administered within 7 days after discontinuing Poxet (see Drug Interactions).
5. Poxet must not be used concomitantly with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors [SSRIs, serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs)] or other medicinal/herbal products with serotonergic effects [e.g., L-tryptophan, triptans, tramadol, linezolid, lithium, St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)], nor within 14 days following discontinuation of these products. Similarly, these products must not be administered within 7 days after discontinuing Poxet (see Drug Interactions).
6. Poxet is contraindicated in patients concurrently taking strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, telithromycin, nefazodone, nelfinavir, atazanavir, etc.
7. Poxet is contraindicated in patients with moderate or severe hepatic impairment.
